Your first sound in three steps

1. Open the studio. The instrument loads in your browser, with no account or installation.
2. Choose a chord. Click one of the five pads or press keys 1–5. Click the same pad again to stop it.
3. Move the tone. Drag the Tone slider while the chord plays. Try a different Sound preset to hear how the same chord changes.

You can begin with pads even if you do not have a webcam. Camera control is optional.

Play without a camera

The five pads represent five chords in your selected key and scale. In C major, they are C, Dm, Em, F, and G. The number printed on each pad matches its keyboard shortcut.

Select another Key or switch between Major and Minor in the Setup panel. The pad names update immediately. For every available combination, see the interactive chord guide.

Play with your hands

Choose Enable Camera in the studio and allow browser camera access. Hold one to five fingers in view to select the corresponding chord pad. Raise or lower your hand to change the tone as you play.

Use even lighting and keep your hand inside the preview frame. If the camera is unavailable, the pads and number keys still work. Camera frames are processed on your device and are not uploaded by this site.

Change the key, scale, and timbre

Key transposes the available chords. Scale switches between major and minor chord families. Sound offers Warm analog, Glass keys, and Neon pulse. Tone changes the brightness of the sound; Volume controls its level.

When you change Key, Scale, or Sound while a pad is active, the studio rebuilds the currently playing chord using your new setting.

Record a short clip

Select Start Recording, play a few chords, then stop. Recording ends automatically at 15 seconds. When your browser supports the recording format, you can download the generated audio as a WebM file.

The recording captures the synthesizer output. It does not include camera video, and the audio stays in your browser until you download it.
